Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Family Tree Data

You provide names, birth years, death years, and gender information for family members you add to your trees. This data is stored securely and only accessible to you and people you share your tree with.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the family tree application
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account
• To display your family tree data back to you
• To generate Punjabi and Hindi relationship labels for your family members

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secure Supabase (PostgreSQL) database with row-level security (RLS) policies. This means only authenticated users who are members of a tree can access that tree's data. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session. These are strictly necessary for the application to function and cannot be disabled.

6. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication
• Vercel — application hosting and analytics
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in provider

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete individual family members, entire trees, or your account at any time. When you delete data, it is permanently removed from our database.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
