Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms apply when you use Desi Family Tree, including the family tree builder, relationship guides, collaboration tools, designers, downloads, and shop. If you do not agree, do not use the service or place an order.

2. Guest use and accounts

You can try the tree builder without an account. Guest data is kept in your browser and may be lost if you clear browser storage or change devices. An account is required to save a tree to the cloud, collaborate, retain designs, or place an order. Keep your account secure and provide current information.

3. Family information and consent

You keep ownership of information and artwork you provide. You give us a limited permission to store, process, display, export, and send that content to service providers only as needed to operate the features you choose. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to add information about other people, especially living relatives, children, contact details, and photographs.

Do not upload content that is unlawful, abusive, malicious, or that infringes another person's rights. We may remove content or restrict an account when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.

4. Sharing and collaboration

Tree owners control invitations, member roles, and share links. Anyone with an active share link may be able to view the information exposed by that link, so send links only to people you trust and revoke them when they are no longer needed. Editors can change tree data. Viewers cannot edit it. You are responsible for choosing the appropriate access level.

5. Personalized products and payment

Product prices are shown before shipping and any applicable taxes. The final amount is shown at Stripe Checkout before payment. Review the product, size, colour, names, spelling, relationships, artwork, and delivery address before paying. We may cancel and refund an order if a product, destination, design, or payment cannot be fulfilled safely.

Stripe processes payment. Printful and its fulfillment partners manufacture and ship personalized products. Product colours and placement can vary slightly from a screen preview because displays, materials, printing methods, and product sizes differ.

6. Shipping, cancellations, and returns

Delivery dates are estimates. Personalized orders normally cannot be changed or cancelled after production starts and cannot be returned for change of mind. Damaged, defective, misprinted, or incorrect items must be reported within 14 days of delivery. The full process is in our Shipping and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Downloads and generated output

Relationship labels and generated layouts depend on the data and relationships entered. Family terminology varies by region, language, religion, and household. Review generated labels and artwork before sharing, downloading, or ordering them.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, prices, products, and supported destinations may change. We may suspend access for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.

9. Deletion and retention

Deleted people may remain recoverable for up to 30 days before permanent removal. Some order, payment, security, and audit records may be retained when required for fulfillment, fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, or law. 10. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of family data stored only in a guest browser, or delays outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
